My impression after my very first introduction to tango class was that tango for me is a " dynamic meditation". Little did I realize then the depths of similarity between tango and Kriya yoga, which I have been practicing for over 15 years. Both complement and nourish one another, in terms of technique, alignment, breath work, focus and awareness. Together, they provide an organic compass to how I live my life. Thank you, Andrea, for sharing your life and thoughts with our wonderful tango community. You help us evolve 🧘💃🕺

I agree with you Andrea.

Tango surely has a meditative effect on me. A kind of the same as yoga does… remember how deeply I got relaxed after class that prevented me to get back into reality immediately?

This state of mind is easily reachable now in my tango though it depends on my current partner.

With a partner that I know and can trust completely I allow myself to stop thinking and controlling my movements. I only keep on listening to music and to him while go with the flow because I believe that he also listen to me and leaves me a room to improvise.
